Cash & Carter – Just Like Heaven
There are some unwritten rules in life. Don’t meddle with your best friend’s wife/GF/partner (if applicable), don’t eat the yellow snow, and never cover songs by legendary bands like Joy Division, etc. However, as the phrase goes, “rules are made to be broken” (except for the yellow snow one!! ), and great art and exploration may come only by pushing boundaries.
So when I got a press release about Cash & Carter and their “country” rendition of the classic “Just Like Heaven,” I almost hit the DEL key! However, because their public relations representative had gone to tremendous lengths to bring it to me, something made me resist!
