All visa applicants, including children, are required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable visa application fee (often called the MRV fee) before applying for a nonimmigrant visa. This fee must be paid regardless of whether the visa is issued. Bank Deposit (Cash or Electronic Funds Transfer – EFT): Generate a payment deposit slip by clicking “Generate” on the portal. Follow the instructions to make a payment at First Bank of Nigeria in local currency. This slip includes a Transaction Reference Number, which must be used correctly to ensure the payment is validated, and an Expiration Date, which gives you three days to make the payment before the slip expires.
Card Payment in USD: You can complete the payment in USD using a credit or debit card. This method processes instantly, allowing you to proceed immediately to schedule an appointment.

Visa Fee Terms and Validity

Visa application fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another individual. These fees are valid for one year from the payment date.

Visa Types and Application Fees

Application fees vary by visa type, with common nonimmigrant visas costing $185 (e.g., tourist, business, student, and exchange visas). Petition-based visas, such as work or religious visas, are $190, while K visas cost $265 and E visas cost $205. K visa payments are only accepted at GT Bank.
